As skin ages, it loses hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in the skin that provides fullness and elasticity. As Hyaluronic Acid decreases, skin loses volume, increasing the chance of wrinkles and folds. Skin aging is not a choice, but how we treat it is.
